Joyce Baard is a consultant urologist and clinical epidemiologist in the Amsterdam University Medical Center in the Netherlands.

Her main fields of interests are the Endourologic treatment of stones and urothelial tumors of lower and upper tract. Regarding the last she is especially focused on the kidney sparing endoscopic management and new imaging and diagnostic techniques. The Amsterdam UMC is recognized as national expertise center for Upper Tract Urothelial Carcinoma care.

She is a member of several international Urology societies and is a previous member of the board of directors of the Société Internationale as applied research council.

Matthew Bultitude is a Consultant Urological Surgeon at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital in London specialising in kidney stone management. He trained in London and undertook a fellowship year at the Alfred Hospital in Melbourne. At Guy’s he has been clinical lead for his department and is currently the Clinical Director for transplantation, nephrology and urology. He was Associate Editor of the journal BJUI for 9 years and is a previous Secretary of the Urology section of the Royal Society of Medicine. He is currently a member of the Executive Committee of the Section of Endourology of BAUS.

Anne K. Pelletier Cameron, MD, FRCSC, FPMRS is the James Montie Legacy Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan and Associate Chair of Quality and Safety and Service Chief for the Department of Urology.

She received her undergraduate degree in Science at the University of New Brunswick in Fredericton as a Beaverbrook Scholar graduating magna cum laude. She completed her medical degree at the University of Ottawa followed by residency in Urology at Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia.

She came to the University of Michigan in 2007 for a two-year fellowship in Female Pelvic Medicine and Reconstruction after being recruited by Dr. Edward McGuire.  During her fellowship she developed a passion for research and collaboration with our colleagues in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation.

Dr. Cameron was then recruited to stay at the University of Michigan as an Assistant Professor in Urology in 2009 and has been very productive clinically, in research and education.  Her clinical interests include complex incontinence, female urethral disease, urodynamics and the care of neurogenic lower urinary tract dysfunction (NLUTD).

Dr. Cameron has been the lead of the observational cohort for the NIDDK funded Symptoms of Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction Network for both LURN I and the ongoing LURN II endeavors.  Other current research includes trials in the care of NLUTD and prevention of urinary tract infections in this vulnerable population.

She has a strong interest in medical education having served as a Doctoring faculty for the medical school as well as the urology clerkship director.  Currently she is part of the residency Core Educational Faculty and Associate FPRMS Fellowship director and gives many educational lectures locally and nationwide.

Dr. Cameron is active with the Society of Women in Urology serving on their Board of Directors currently as President and as their annual meeting planner for 2022.  She is also very active with the AUA serving on the Core Curriculum as well as a member the on the Neurologic Lower Urinary Tract Dysfunction Guideline Committee and is the Chair of the upcoming SUFU/AUA Overactive Bladder Guideline.  Dr. Cameron has also been very active with the Society of Urodynamics, Female Pelvic Medicine and Urogenital Reconstruction serving currently on the Executive Committee as Secretary/Treasurer and is the new Deputy Editor in Chief of the organization’s journal Neurourology and Urodynamics.

Treatment of urethral stricture disease in women: A multi‐institutional collaborative project from the SUFU research network

Kathryn Chatterton qualified in 1998 with BSc (Hons) from South Bank University in London. Having spent a period of time working in the urology inpatient wards and then the emergency department, she has been a Bladder Cancer Clinical Nurse Specialist in the Urology Centre at Guy’s and St. Thomas’ Hospital since 2003.  In 2008, she spent a year at the Royal Melbourne Hospital, establishing one of the first nurse-led flexible cystoscopy clinics in Australia. She runs intravesical treatment clinics and training, nurse-led surveillance flexible cystoscopy and blue light transurethral ablation of bladder tumours (TULA).  She has established a robust enhanced recovery program for cystectomy patients and has an interest in mental wellbeing interventions in bladder cancer.  She is an active member within the EAUN, including the Bladder Cancer Special Interest Group (SIG) where she is directly involved in designing future programs, webinars, ESUN courses and guidelines. She has been an invited speaker and chair at the EAUN where she also runs a nurse training flexible cystoscopy course.  Her recent work involves development of online learning modules in NMIBC and intravesical treatments and improving bladder cancer care, through workforce development with the national GIRFT team. In May 2021 she received the prestigious Nightingale Award for recognition for her outstanding practice.

Jo Cresswell is a Consultant Urological Surgeon in the North East of England. In June 2022, Jo became the President of the British Association of Urological Surgeons and over the last year has led the BAUS Widening Participation project. Her clinical and research interests focus on management of bladder cancer including robotic and open cystectomy. Jo has a strong interest in urological training as a previous Training Program Director and Specialty Advisory Committee member. As Clinical Director at the James Cook University Hospital in Middlesbrough she led the team through the COVID pandemic.

Professor Benjamin J. Davies MD, Director of the Urologic Oncology Fellowship and is the Chief of Urology at the Hillman Cancer Center at the University of Pittsburgh. He is the Chief of the Health Services Research Division with a focus on health equity and pharmacoepidemiology. Dr. Davies has published over 200 peer-reviewed articles centering on prostate cancer outcomes, basic science research in genomics, and health service-related topics.  Much of his recent work has centered on influencing physicians’ behaviours with narcotics and with post-operative care decision making.  His clinical practice is focused on robotic prostatectomies, bladder cancer surgery including male/female neobladder reconstruction, kidney cancer surgery including robotic partial nephrectomies, and testicular cancer surgery. Dr. Davies also has an appointment with the School of Public Health in the Center for Pharmaceutical Policy and has focused his time there on pharmacoepidemiology of BCG treatment.

Shin Egawa is Professor of Department of Academia-industrial Alliance at The Jikei University School of Medicine, Tokyo, where he served as the 6th Professor and Chairman of Department of Urology from 2004-2022. His main fields of interest are urologic oncology, the study of exosomes, microRNAs in prostate cancer and other urological malignancies.
He is currently the Secretary General Elect of the Urological Association of Asia. He has been active in promoting international collaboration in urologic education and research, and received the AUA Secretary Commendation Global Leadership Award in 2017. In addition, he was appointed an honorary member of the European Association of Urology. He was made a member of the Association of Academic European Urologists in 2022 in recognition of his professional accomplishments.

Dr. Dean Elterman is an Associate Professor of Urology at the University of Toronto, sub-specializing in functional urology. As an attending urologist at the University Health Network (Toronto), his clinical and research interests include voiding dysfunction, novel technologies for BPH, sacral neuromodulation, male incontinence, and men’s health. He trained at the University of Toronto, Memorial Sloan-Kettering Cancer Center and New York Presbyterian/Weill Cornell Medical College. He holds a Master’s degree in Clinical Epidemiology and Health Services Research from Cornell. He is the Medical Director of the Sexual Health Clinic at Princess Margaret Cancer Center and Fellowship Director for functional urology. He is the recipient of the 2022 SIU Innovators award, leads numerous clinical trials in BPH and neuromodulation, and has published over 150 peer reviewed manuscripts including the lead author of the Canadian guidelines for Male LUTS/BPH.

Kirsten Greene, MD, MS, FACS received her undergraduate training from the University of Virginia on full academic scholarship. She received her MD from the Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and completed her general surgery and urology training at the University of California, San Francisco where she also received a Masters in Clinical Research. She specializes in urologic cancers and minimally invasive surgery. Kirsten was Vice Chair and Chief of Urology at the SFVA and Associate Chair for Education and Program Director for the Department of Urology at UCSF until 2019. She was the first woman to achieve the rank of full Professor in the UCSF Department of Urology. In 2019, she became Chair of the University of Virginia Department of Urology and holds the Paul Mellon Endowed Chair in Urology. She became Associate Chief Medical Officer for UVA Health in 2020.  Her research interests include minimally invasive surgery, novel imaging technologies in prostate cancer, resident and physician well-being and burnout, and outcomes in bladder, kidney and prostate cancer. She is the President elect of the Society of Academic Urologists (SAU). She won the UCSF Resident Teaching Award and Peter R. Carroll Mentorship award at UCSF in 2018, the UVA Resident Teaching Award in 2022, and the AUA Mid Career award in 2022.

Tamsin is a Consultant Urological Surgeon and Honorary Associate Professor at University College London (Hospitals). She runs a large multidisciplinary Functional, Reconstructive and Adolescent (FRA) Urology service, with her main interests being urinary tract fistulae, female urethral diverticulum, male and female urethral stricture, complex male and female urinary incontinence, mesh complication surgery and lower urinary tract reconstruction.

She has been the Chair of the BAUS section of Functional, Neurourology and Urodynamics, BAUS Director of Education and the RCS (Eng) Urology Tutor. She is currently; a member of the AUA’s GURS Board of Directors, the EAU’s ESGURS committee, the EAU Urethral Stricture Guidelines Committee, the Vice Chair of the UKCS and the Chair of the EAU Taskforce on EDI. She was awarded the John Anderson Medal by BAUS for outstanding contribution to British urology in 2020.

Dr. Rajeev Kumar is a Professor of Urology and Associate Dean for Academics at the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi, India. His principal areas of clinical work are minimally invasive urology and microsurgery for male infertility. His research interests focus on genetics of male infertility and magnetic resonance imaging techniques for prostate cancer. He has published over 250 articles and book chapters and delivered over 150 lectures nationally and internationally.

Dr. Kumar is the Chief Editor of the Indian Journal of Urology and serves in various editorial capacities for the Journal of Urology, the National Medical Journal of India, the International Journal of Urology, Investigative and Clinical Urology, and the Asian Journal of Urology. He is the President-Elect for the Société Internationale d’Urologie (SIU) and the Adjunct Secretary General of the Urological Association of Asia. He is a fellow of the National Academy of Medical Sciences of India.

Dr. Hyun Jun Park graduated from Pusan National University College of Medicine, Korea, in 1998 and first joined the Department of Urology at his alma mater in 2004 as a professor. He has been serving as an editor in chief for the World Journal of Men’s Health. He has also been active in various academic societies, including International Society for Sexual Medicine (Publication committee member), Asian Society for Men’s Health and Aging (President), Asia-Pacific Society for Sexual Medicine (publication committee director), Korean Association for Sexology, Korean Society for Sexual Medicine and Andrology, Korean Society for Men’s Health and Aging (academic committee director), and Korean Society for Reproductive Medicine. Mr Shah qualified in 1972 from Leeds University Medical School and obtained FRCS in 1976.  After training in Leeds, Nottingham, Cardiff, Newport, Norwich and London Mr Shah he was awarded the Higher Surgical Training Certificate in Urology in 1983.  He became a Consultant Urologist in 1984 at St Peter’s Hospitals in London and Senior Lecturer at University College London (previous University of London). He was appointed to the post of Urologist to the Spinal Cord Injuries Centre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital in 1985 and set up the now thriving urological unit.  St Peter’s Hospital moved to the Middlesex Hospital in 1992 and then to UCLH in 2005 and has more recently moved to Westmoreland Street to a dedicated Urology Hospital.

Current Positions

Mr Shah is currently an honorary consultant urological surgeon at the London Spinal Injuries Centre at the Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital, Stanmore.

He holds the post of Honorary Associate Professor at UCL where he teaches medical students and examines for the medical school.

He still acts as a mentor to his younger colleagues and continues with some NHS clinical work.  He regularly attends the clinical governance at UCLH.

His private practice is centred at King Edward VII Hospital in London.

Special Interests 

His special interests continue in Urology and are in female and male incontinence, neuro-urology (including spinal cord injury, cauda equina syndrome), erectile dysfunction and complex reconstructive surgery of the urinary tract.   He also has an interest in prostatitis.

He has presented widely at national and international urological conferences and has published numerous papers, chapters and books on urological subjects.

He is Chairman, Clinical Adviser and Trustee of the FOPS (Friends of Prostate Sufferers) – A local Charity that helps men with prostate cancer.  He chairs a monthly encounter group for prostate cancer sufferers who join from around the UK.

Dr. Derya Tilki is a Professor of Urology at the Martini-Klinik Prostate Cancer Center and at the Department of Urology, University Hospital Hamburg-Eppendorf in Germany. She obtained her medical degree at the University of Hamburg and received her Urologic residency training in Munich, with research fellowships at Harvard Medical School in Boston and at Weill Cornell Medical Center in New York. Dr. Tilki completed a Uro-Oncology fellowship at UC Davis in Sacramento, USA. Dr. Tilki‘s research is focused on uro-oncology with a particular interest in prostate cancer.
