Alberto Breda is a Urologic Surgeon specialized in uro-oncology and kidney transplantation with special interest in minimally invasive surgery. He obtained his medical degree from the University of Padova School of Medicine and Surgery where he also completed his Urology Residency and a PhD in renal cryotherapy. He then completed a clinical Research Fellowship at the University of California (UCLA) with a subsequent appointment as Assistant Professor. He is also Doctor in Medicine and Surgery from the Autonomous University of Barcelona (UAB).
Dr. Breda has authored over 300 articles in indexed urological journals and 20 chapters in specialized books. He has more than 300 papers presented in congresses and scientific meetings, some of them awarded and has been invited as guest lecturer and surgeon in many of them. He is currently Head of the Oncology Urology Unit and Kidney Transplant Surgical Team in Fundació Puigvert and Chairman of the EAU Robotic Urology Section (ERUS).

Dr. Laura Bukavina, MD, MPH, and MSc, is an Assistant Professor of Urology at Case Western Reserve School of Medicine/Cleveland Clinic Glickman Urology Institute. Her expertise centers on the treatment and management of genitourinary cancers. Dr. Bukavina finished her residency at Case Western Reserve and followed this with an SUO-accredited fellowship at the Fox Chase Cancer Center. Furthermore, she earned an MPH in Epidemiology from Johns Hopkins School of Medicine and master’s program in immunology at Drexel University.
Dr. Bukavina is a translational surgeon-scientist with research focused on the oncobiome and the immunological components of microbial modulation in immune-based bladder cancer treatments. Her primary goal is to discover new therapies by utilizing bacterial stimulation of toll-like receptor activation to boost the response to urothelial cancer treatment.
Dr. Bukavina’s work has been recognized with the BCAN Young Investigator Award, the Society of Women Elizabeth Pickett Award, as well as recognition as an AUA research scholar and AACR woman in cancer research. In addition to surgeon scientist role, Dr. Bukavina is an associate editor for European Urology, most prestigious journal within urology, International Bladder Cancer Group core committee and Urology Times editorial board – all focused on advancing the surgical and scientific frontier of urologic oncology and clinical trial development.
On a more personal note, her ties to Ukraine have deeply influenced her philanthropic pursuits. She invests time and effort into various volunteer missions, with a primary aim of augmenting surgical skills and raising healthcare awareness in Ukraine.

Dr. Freedland is a Professor of Urology, the Warschaw, Robertson, Law Families Chair in Prostate Cancer, and the Associate Director of Cedars-Sinai Cancer at Cedars-Sinai. He is focuses on prostate cancer with interests in lifestyle, health disparities, and risk stratification. He published over 700 studies including papers in New England Journal of Medicine, JAMA, Journal of Clinical Oncology, and other journals. He was co-PI of the global phase 3 EMBARK study. He sits on the editorial board for multiple journals including Nature Reviews Urology and is editor-emeritus for Prostate Cancer and Prostatic Diseases. He earned his MD from UC Davis, completed urology residency at UCLA and a urological oncology fellowship at Johns Hopkins.

Dr. Galante is a board-certified urological surgeon. He attended Case Western Reserve University for medical school. He then completed his urologic surgical residency training at the University of Florida in Gainesville. Dr. Galante had been practicing as a general urologist with a focus on vasectomy and male infertility. Eventually, he decided that he enjoyed performing vasectomies so much that he would sub-specialize his practice. So, in June 2023, Dr. Galante joined VasWeb, a practice that specializes in promoting, providing, and teaching vasectomy worldwide. There, he performs about 200 vasectomies per month. In addition to vasectomy-related activities, Dr. Galante is an avid chess player, golfer, bike rider, and a general Florida enthusiast.

Sarah is the Immediate Past President of the British Association of Urological Nurses and the Lead Nurse for Urology at York and Scarborough Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. Holding a Masters Degree in Advanced Clinical Practice, she is an RCN credentialed Advanced Nurse Practitioner with a specialist interest in bladder health and over 20 years’ experience in diagnostic and benign urology.
Sarah delivers educational talks, webinars and podcasts about the management of urinary tract issues around the world. She lectures at the University of York and is a regular writer for IJUN, BJN and BJCN. Her work has also been published in the Guardian newspaper. Sarah also is a board member for National and European non-profit organisations such as the European Association of Urological Nurses Education Accreditation Board and The Bladder Interest Group (BLIG).
Reconstructive urology

Stella Ivaz is an award winning Consultant Urologist and Associate Clinical Professor at University College London.
Her experience is in all aspects of general urology and prostate problems, reconstructive-urology including urethral stricture disease, urinary incontinence, Female Urology and Andrology.
She specialised in the treatment of Benign Prostate Enlargement and uses the latest technology and minimally invasive techniques such as Aquablation, Rezum and various laser and robotic systems.
She has completed her sub-speciality training in genitourinary reconstructive surgery at the Institute of Urology, University College Hospital in London.
Her research interests are primarily focused on urethral stricture disease, bladder reconstruction, Incontinence and artificial urinary sphincter surgery.
Stella Ivaz is an Associate Clinical Professor at University College London and is a Fellow of the Higher Education Academy. While her focus is on urological reconstruction she has published on a variety of other areas of interest, including general urology and medical education.

Dr. Khera earned his undergraduate degree at Vanderbilt University. He subsequently earned his Masters Degree in Business Administration and his Masters Degree in Public Health from
Boston University. He received his Medical Degree from The University of Texas Medical School at San Antonio and completed his Urology residency training in the Scott Department
of Urology at Baylor College of Medicine. At Baylor, he completed a one-year general surgery internship and then went on to complete a five-year residency program in Urology.
After completing his Urology residency, he went on to complete a one-year fellowship in Male Reproductive Medicine and Surgery at Baylor. Currently he is a Professor in the Scott

lectures at scientific meetings throughout the world, publish over 160 articles in peer reviewed journals, complete 15 book chapters, and edit and write two books all in the field of
sexual medicine and Men’s Health. Dr. Khera freely shares his time and knowledge with the general public. He has been voted several times as one of Houston’s Best Doctors by Health and Sport Fitness Magazine and by Houstonia Magazine and is a frequent guest on such TV programs as Fox News’ “Ask the Doctor.” He also writes a blog on Men’s Health for the Houston Chronicle Newspaper.

Dr. Lerner is an Associate Professor of Urology at Boston University School of Medicine and is the Deputy Chief of Surgery and Chief of Urology of the VA Boston Healthcare System. She is an expert in Male Voiding Dysfunction and prostate surgery who was fellowship trained in HoLEP in New Zealand. Being an academic urologist her entire career, she has been involved in teaching HoLEP to residents and urologists at home and abroad for over 24 years. She served as Chair of the American Urological Association’s BPH Guidelines Committee and advocates conscientious approaches to benign prostate disease. Dr. Lerner has also been involved in CAUTI initiatives, contributing to the American Urological Association’s White Paper on CAUTI. She is a strong advocate of education about surgical energies, particularly lasers, and has been involved in numerous initiatives and courses promoting education and training. Dr. Lerner is interested in, and has published on, issues of importance to women surgeons including pregnancy complications, fertility, and cancer.

Vaibhav is a urological surgeon and andrologist at Manchester University NHS Foundation Trust. On completion of training, he undertook fellowships in Perth (WA) and University College London Hospitals (UCLH) in the UK. One of the highest volume andrological surgeons in the UK, he is an international mentor in Penile Prosthesis & Peyronie’s disease surgery.
He is currently the Secretary of the BAUS Andrology and Genito urethral surgery section, Andrology section editor for the Journal of Clinical Urology, and the Royal College of Surgeons/BAUS surgical specialty lead for Andrology research. Having previously served on the EAU male sexual and reproductive health guidelines panel, he was recently appointed to the AUA international research committee. He serves on The Urology Foundation (TUF) scientific committee and is also a recognised trainer in male factor infertility by the British Fertility Society (BFS), and member of their specialist interest group.

His surgical practice is devoted to reconstructive urology principally for the management of urethral stricture disease, complex urinary incontinence, iatrogenic (post-surgical) complications and complications relating to the treatment of prostate and rectal cancer.

Louise Newson is a physician, women’s hormone specialist and member of the UK Government’s Menopause Taskforce. She is also an award-winning doctor, educator, and author, committed to increasing awareness and knowledge of perimenopause and menopause. Described as the “medic who kickstarted the menopause revolution”, she has empowered a generation of women to have a greater understanding, choice and control over their treatment, bodies and mind.
Dr Louise studied Medicine and Pathology at The University of Manchester and pursued a career in hospital medicine before moving to specialise in General Practice and medical writing.
She is a member of the Royal College of Physicians (1998), a Fellow of the Royal College of GPs (2016), Visiting Fellow at Murray Edwards College, Cambridge University and has been awarded an Honorary Doctorate in Health from Bradford University.
She is the founder of the free award-winning balance menopause support app, which has had more than one million downloads to date, and the balance-menopause website. She also hosts the weekly Dr Louise Newson podcast, which has been ranked the No.1 medical podcast in the UK. She is also a Sunday Times bestseller and has authored several books.
In 2018 Dr Louise founded Newson Health in response to difficulties many women experience in obtaining perimenopause and menopause treatment. Newson Health clinicians provide individualised consultations to women across the UK, with a holistic approach to treatment.
In recognition that menopause and wider hormone health is under-researched and underfunded, a portion of Newson Health’s profits fund much-need research and education, as well as financing the balance app and numerous free resources available to people globally. Neither Newson Health nor Dr Louise Newson undertake any paid work with pharmaceutical companies, nor with any organisations that engage in menowashing.
Dr Louise has developed a menopause education programme for healthcare professionals which has been downloaded by over 33,000 clinicians globally.
In addition, she has written and contributed to many academic papers and abstracts, and created written resources to educate and upskill fellow healthcare professionals, including the Royal College of General Practitioners’ Essential Knowledge Updates and E-learning for Healthcare modules. Her academic work includes partnerships with with Kings College London, Cambridge, Liverpool John Moores, Liverpool, Cardiff and Warwick Universities. She also works with a range of organisations to widen access to menopause and hormone health care, including in the workplace, and collaborates with charities and professional bodies to raise awareness of the needs of perimenopausal and menopausal women. Pr Benoit Peyronnet is Professor of Urology at the Rennes University, Rennes, France where he is the head of the neurourology and functional urology program. He completed his medical school at the Paris VI university, his residency at the University of Rennes, Toulouse and Tours and clinical fellowship at the university of Rennes. He then did a 1-year research fellowship in the FPMRS division of the New York University Department of Urology. In 2019, he obtained a PhD at the University of Rennes on the molecular and radiomical characterization of spina bifida lower urinary tract dysfunction.
His academic interests and clinical practices are focused on functional urology, neurourology, reconstructive urology and robotics. He has authored or coauthored over 300 peer-reviewed articles. He is a member of the French committee of female pelvic medicine, EAU guidelines panel of non-neurogenic female LUTS and ICS/ICI panel of female urinary incontinence surgery. He serves as the editor in chief of the French Journal of Urology Pelvi-Perineology and as an associate editor for the French Journal of Urology, the World Journal of Urology, Continence and Current Bladder Dysfunction Reports.

Joe Philip MD, FRCS (Urol.) is the President (Elect) of the British Association of Urological Surgeons (BAUS) and Vice President for Education; the first Minority & International Medical graduate (IMG) Urologist to hold this office in it’s 80 year history. Joe works with the President, Trustees, Council and Executive team to deliver BAUS strategy programs focused on Education, Membership & Workforce.
He was appointed Consultant Urological Surgeon at Bristol Urological Institute in 2011, after attending Medical College in Calicut, Southern India and having trained in Urology in the Mersey region & Birmingham. Joe is a tertiary hospital specialist Endourological Surgeon with practice involving the management of complex stone patients, ureteric injuries and endoscopic upper tract urothelial cancer management.
His research interests are in kidney stones disease and improving on differential attainment. His group looks into evaluating risk factors for sepsis, increased hospital stay and morbidity in patients who undergo stone procedures and outcomes of shockwave lithotripsy. Attempts at identifying risk factors for recurrence of stone disease, including with the use of Machine learning continue.
Joe has been at the forefront for IMGs and in Urology, to reduce differential attainment, improving on Equity, Diversity and Inclusion in Education, Representation and Leadership, and leads a research group evaluating In-equity, regulator bodies’ attitudes & differential language. He has reported on representation of females, ethnic minorities and doctors from disadvantaged backgrounds on National bodies, especially in Urology.
Joe has published over 75 papers and has lectured around the world. He is International Professor with the Apollo Hospitals Educational & Research Foundation (AHERF), India; Honorary Professor of Urology at the School of Medicine, Bridgetown International University, Barbados and Honorary Senior Clinical Lecturer at the Bristol Medical School, University of Bristol, U.K. In addition, he is the Section Editor for Endourology, Journal of Clinical Urology and serves as a Trustee/Advisor on National Committees
He is the 2024 recipient of the KAMS (UK) award for Outstanding contribution to the field of Urological Surgery & the 2023 APEX Healthcare Excellency Award for Excellence in Healthcare.

Minimally invasive and Robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgeries

Dr Raz is the head of the Urology department at Assuta Ashdod Public Hospital, and the Medical director of Urology at Assuta Medical-Center Network, Israel.
Dr Raz completed a research fellowship, in Toronto Canada 2010 and a clinical fellowship in minimally invasive and Robotic-assisted laparoscopic surgeries, along with a Master of Surgery degree at Macquarie-University Hospital, Sydney Australia 2015.
She performed the first In-Bore MRI focal laser ablations in 2009. She performs In-Bore MRI, MRI-US Fusion, TRUS, and finger-guided prostate biopsies. Dr. Raz, one of the most experienced robotic surgeons in Israel, is a proctor in robotic-assisted surgeries.

Jaspreet Sandhu is an attending urologist at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Center (MSKCC). He is a graduate of Duke University and Wake Forest University with a urology residency from Weill Cornell Medical College. He compled a fellowship in Voiding Dysfunction and Pelvic Reconstruction at Weill Cornell and Columbia Presbyterian Medical Centers and has subsequently been on the staff of the Urology Service within the Department of Surgery at MSKCC.
Dr. Sandhu directs Functional and Reconstructive Urology at MSKCC. His primary interest is to understand, predict, treat, and prevent voiding dysfunction or urinary incontinence caused by cancer or its treatments, with a focus on the treatment of male and female incontinence, and urinary tract/pelvic reconstruction. He also has a strong interest in the surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia, pelvic prolapse, and voiding dysfunction caused by advanced cancers. Dr. Sandhu is board-certified in Urology and Urogynecology and Reconstructive Pelvic Surgery (URPS) and has authored over 100 peer-reviewed manuscripts, review articles, and book chapters.
Dr. Sandhu has extensive experience within organized urology at the local, national and international level, currently serving as the Associate Secretary of the American Urological Association (AUA) responsible for the Asia and Australia region. He has also served on multiple national committees, most recently serving as chair of the AUA Practice Guidelines Committee. Dr. Sandhu has also been on the Exam Committee of the American Board of Urology and is on the executive board of the AUA-New York Section currently serving as its Treasurer. He continues to remain an active member of SUFU, GURS, and SIU having taken part in each of their respective scientific programs over the last many years, through abstract reviews and as part of the scientific faculty.

Dr. Shoshany currently heads the Andrology service at Beilinson Hospital, Rabin Medical Center, and is one of Israel’s leading andrologists. He graduated from Tel Aviv University Medical School in 2005 and completed his specialist urological training at Rabin Medical Center, Israel. Subsequently, he spent two years at the University of Illinois in Chicago, IL, USA, and at Men’s Health Melbourne in cooperation with Western Health in Melbourne, VIC, Australia, completing sub-specialty urological fellowships in andrology, urological prosthetics, and microsurgery for male infertility. Since 2020, he is a certified Fellow of the European committee of Sexual Medicine. Dr. Shoshany is deeply engaged in education, tutoring students, interns, and residents, and training local fellows in andrology. He has authored numerous publications, primarily in the field of andrology. During 2022 to 2024, Dr. Shoshany has served on the Israeli Urological Association board, promoting the field of andrology in Israel. Dr. Shoshany was recently elected as chairman of the Israeli Urological Association section of Andrology.

Prof Stenzl is currently the Secretary General of the European Association of Urology. Prof. Stenzl is a German urologist and uro-oncologist. He was the director of the Department of Urology at the Eberhard-Karls-University in Tübingen/Germany. He is currently Senior Professor and consultant surgeon at the Diakonissen Hospital in Stuttgart.
His main research interests are in the field of bladder and prostate cancer and reconstructive urology. Prof. Stenzl has written or contributed to more than 840 publications, with a strong emphasis on urooncology and reconstructive surgery. In addition, he is the investigator of numerous clinical trials and organizer of national and international symposia on urooncology. At the same time, he is involved in numerous editorial articles in urological journals, and he was the Section Editor in the “European Urology”. He was also a member of the Executive Board of BJU International, and on the editorial board of several other peer review journals. His ongoing research focuses on intraoperative multisensory tissue differentiation in oncology, which is funded by the German Research Foundation.

Samir S. Taneja, MD is the James M. and Janet Riha Neissa Professor of Urologic Oncology; Professor of Urology, Radiology, and Biomedical Engineering; GU Program Leader in the Perlmutter Cancer Center; Director of the Division of Urologic Oncology, and Vice Chair in the Department of Urology at NYU Langone Health. He received his undergraduate and medical education at Northwestern University Medical School.
Dr. Taneja is nationally renowned as a key opinion leader in the treatment and research of prostate cancer. His previous laboratory research has focused in androgen receptor transcriptional activation and the relationship of AR to prostate cancer growth, for which he received funding through the National Institutes of Health, Department of Defense, and the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Over the past 15 years, his clinical research interest has been in prostate cancer diagnostics, with particular focus on the application of imaging in the detection, risk stratification, and therapy of prostate cancer. He has pioneered the clinical application of pre-biopsy prostate MRI and techniques of MRI-targeted biopsy, and is widely recognized as an innovator in the emerging field of prostate cancer focal therapy. In establishing standards for use of prostate MRI and targeted biopsy, he has served on the Society of Abdominal Radiology Prostate Cancer Disease-focused Panel, the Appropriate Use Criteria Committees of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and the American College of Radiology, and the AUA Committee for establishing and AUA Prostate MRI Standard Operating Procedure. Dr. Taneja is also widely recognized as one of the most experienced innovators in the emerging field of prostate cancer focal therapy, having led and completed both single and multi-center clinical trials at NYULH, and having utilized a wide spectrum of focal therapy energy sources in clinical practice. He is currently the co-primary investigator of the VAPOR 2 trial, a multicenter trial of partial gland steam ablation for localized prostate cancer.
Dr. Taneja has previously served on the American Board of Urology Examination Committee, the SUO Oncology Knowledge Assessment Test Committee, the Society of Urologic Oncology Board of Directors, and he is previous Secretary General and past-President of the Urologic Research Society. Prof (Dr) Rajeev T P did his M.Ch ( Urology ) from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. He received gold medal for M.Ch ( Urology ). He also won the best paper prize and quiz prizes of Urological Society of India. He did Fellowship in Endourology, Laparoscopic and Robotic Urology from University of Minnessota, USA. He is a Visiting Professor, University of Minnessota, USA. He was the Professor and Head, Dept. of Urology and Renal transplantation, Gauhati Medical College Hospital, Assam, India. He is currently Director and Chief Consultant Urologist, Medicity, Guwahati, India.
Prof Rajeev T P has over hundred publications in indexed journals and written chapters in Urology text books. He has delivered talks as invited speaker, moderated / chaired sessions in various international conferences. He is a thesis guide for M.Ch ( Urology ) and examiner for M.Ch ( Urology ) of various universities in India. He is member of AUA, EAU, SIU.
Prof Rajeev T P is currently the President, Urology Society of India; Scientific Co Chair, Societe Internationale D’urologie and Treasurer, South Asian Association of Urological Surgeons.
He is also a cricketer par excellence. Has represented the state schools cricket team, Gauhati university cricket team and Assam state cricket team. He also received the best cricketer award of Gauhati University.

Dr. Steffi Yuen graduated from the The University of Hong Kong. Since joining the urology faculty team at The Chinese University of Hong Kong and New Territories East Cluster, Dr Yuen’s main area of interest encompasses endoluminal endourology (stones and BPH) and minimally invasive surgery. Her vast exposure gives her first-hand experience in the latest technologies, upcoming trends and skills in endoluminal endourology. She is excited to bring about this new era of endourology – the innovations of flexible ureteroscopes, next generation of flexible and navigable ureteral access sheaths (FANS) and laser technology, intelligent pressure regulating platforms and the emerging robotic RIRS and PCNL platforms.
Steffi is involved with urology education in AUSTEG and SIU and has brought about international exchange and collaborations as a Japanese Urological Association (JUA) scholar. She has also completed the International Fellowship in Robotics and Stone surgery at Seoul National University Hospital’s Specialized Endoluminal Endourology & Stone Center under Professor Sung Yong Cho.
Dr Yuen has helped built and pioneered the LUTS/BPE pathway in her hospital cluster, bringing together the whole spectrum of MIST – from Rezum, Urolift, iTIND, Aquablation to enucleation of prostates to LUTS/BPE patients. She is also a certified trainer for Rezum, Urolift and Asia’s first certified trainer for iTIND.
